Archbishop Leonard Blair of the Archdiocese of Hartford, has been elected as the chair-elect of the Bishops' Committee on Divine Worship. In November 2019, he will succeed Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory as Chair of the Committee. In the past, Archbishop Blair has served several terms as a member of the Committee.
Ordained as a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit, he served as Vicar General and Chancellor, Administrative Secretary to the Cardinal, and as Dean of Studies at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. He served as Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo from 2003 to 2013 until his appointment in October 2013 as Archbishop of Hartford.
