Parish Effort for Peace and Justice

As we approach September 9, the day the US Bishops have set aside as a "Day of Prayer for Peace in Our Communities," it may be helpful to see what one of our members has accomplished in his own parish.

Louis Canter serves as Director of Liturgy and Music at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee, Florida.  He is a former Franciscan brother who draws upon his Franciscan training to direct parish and regional efforts to promote peace.  He raises awareness through practical service projects as well as concerts.

Their website contains sample prayers and music suggestions.  For more information, you may e-mail: ministryofpeace@icloud.com  or visit their website at  www.franciscanministryofpeace.com.

The Franciscan Ministry of Peace is an international organization which was founded nearly thirty years ago (October 27, 1986) by Saint John Paul II.
