Soon begins the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The week is scheduled for January 18-25 each year -- the first day is the feast of the Chair of St. Peter (in the old calendar) and the last coincides with the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul.
This year, let us be especially mindful of our fellow Christians who are facing persecution and even death for the sake of their belief in Jesus Christ! These souls represent 1 in 12 Christians worldwide.
