On September 14, 2017, Cardinal Daniel N. DiNardo, Archbishop of Galveston-Houston and President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) announced a publication date for the long-awaited Misal Romano, tercera edición -- the Spanish translation of the third edition of the Roman Missal for use in the United States. The revised text may be used in the liturgy as soon as Pentecost 2018 and its use becomes mandatory of the First Sunday of Advent 2018.
