Mystagogical Reflections on the Texts of the Roman Missal, Third Edition

Welcome! This free service is from the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions (FDLC). It established an Ad Hoc Committee for Mystagogical Reflection of the texts and implementation of the Roman Missal, Third Edition following the national meeting of 2010. The first project offered reflections in a mystagogical style on the Collects for the Sundays and Holydays of the Liturgical Year of Grace 2013.  In this current year 2013-2014, the focus is on the Prayer after Communion as well as completing the rest of the Collects that may occur on a Sunday or Holyday or other Solemnity.

The FDLC hopes both member and non-member diocesan offices and commissions will post these weekly one-page reflections on diocesan websites as well as make them available for parishes and institutions to post or print in local sites and publications. Although these reflections include copyrighted texts of ICEL (used with permission of the USCCB Committee for Divine Worship) and are the copyrighted work of the FDLC, you are free to share and to reproduce them as long as they are not bought or sold.

We welcome your comments and suggestions on this project. Please send them to the FDLC ad hoc Committee on Mystagogy, care of Sr. Sharon Marie Stola, OSB, chair, at sstola@dioceseofjoliet.org or FAX to (815) 838-8129.
