44th National Meeting of the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions

From October 8–11, 2013, 135 members of the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions gathered for their annual meeting in Erie, Pa. Co-sponsored by the FDLC and the USCCB Committee on Divine Worship, the theme of the meeting was: “The Christian Mystery and the Enduring Value of Sacrosanctum Concilium.”

The meeting included a Study Day led by three pre-eminent scholars: Archbishop Piero Marini, Sister Dianne Bergant, CSA and Archbishop Samuel Aquila. Participants also gathered for regional caucuses, business sessions, workshops on music and architecture and celebrations of the Eucharist and the Liturgy of the Hours. The “Taste of the Region” showcased several delicious food and drink items from throughout the region. Each day, participants had the opportunity to visit with the vendors and their displays.
