Many parishes in the United States will be commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the September 11 attacks at the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon, and in a field in Shanksville, PA.   This should be an occasion to pray for all those who perished that day.  It should also be a time to plea to God for peace in a world that continues to be plagued by wars.
