The successful candidate will collaborate with Director of Liturgy and Music Team to identify needs and plan sacred music; be responsible for music selection, preparation, and assembly preparation for Masses, Holy Days, sacramental liturgies, and special liturgies. He/she will recruit, form and direct the parish choir; recruit and form cantors; and participate in Music Team meetings.

This individual must have a strong background in Catholic liturgy and catechesis, with a broad knowledge of the current Catholic marketplace. The candidate will serve as a resource to other editors and the marketing department by identifying potential authors and strengthening relationships with worship offices and other diocesan offices to determine their needs.
Over 220 leaders from 103 dioceses gathered in Lombard, Ill., October 1–3, 2014, for the annual national meeting of FDLC. Their focus was “The RCIA: Ever Ancient, Ever New.” Specifically, they would examine the National Statutes on the Catechumenate (1988) which have served as particular law for the dioceses of the United States for the implementation of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
